About the job

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team as of February 2025. The internship will take place in our office in Louvain-la-Neuve. This internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field who are looking to gain practical experience in the accounting profession.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including data entry, invoice processing, and reconciliation.

  • Participate in month-end and (year-end) closing procedures.

  • Conduct research and compile data for various accounting projects and reports.

  • Assist with audit preparations and provide support during audits.

  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Notion of IFRS.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
