About the job ‍

To strengthen our finance team based in Louvain-la-Neuve, we are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. In this role, the Accounting Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of 3 accountants/assistants.

The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include:

General accounting (statutory & management) for several entities (FR/UK/NL/CA)

  • Supplier Management: ensuring timely and accurate payments.

  • Responsible for the monthly closing process, ensuring that all financial records are accurately updated and reconciled.

  • Annual Audits: Working closely with external auditors, you will assist in the preparation and coordination of annual audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Preparing and processing payments in a timely manner, ensuring that all financial obligations are met.

  • Preparation and filing of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.

  • Coordinate with local accounting and payroll agencies to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Job requirements

Are you our future colleague?

  • At least 5 to 10 years' experience in accounting and finance

  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English

  • Excellent knowledge of French accounting standards and administrative tasks

  • Good knowledge of consolidation

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Knowledge of Netsuite is an asset

  • Highly motivated, with the ability to manage a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Dynamic and possessing excellent communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration and relationship-building with team members and stakeholders.
