Job description
Your mission
We’re looking for a detail-driven and proactive Junior Accountant (Accounts Payable) to temporarily join our Finance team and support the growing needs of our international operations. Based in Louvain-la-Neuve, this role reports directly to our AP Manager and will also collaborate with the Group Controller and CFO.
This is a 6-month contract with the possibility to become permanent.
Main Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with our accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial operations:
Accounts Payable (AP / Suppliers)
Record supplier invoices and ensure proper coding and approval workflows (POs, budget approvals)
Reconcile supplier accounts and monitor outstanding balances
Manage the AP mailbox, and liaise with suppliers to collect missing documents or resolve discrepancies
Prepare accruals and prepaid expense entries for monthly closing
Support the monthly payment run and follow up with key suppliers
Treasury & Bank Reconciliation
Process and reconcile bank statements
Record credit card transactions and ensure monthly reconciliation
Assist with payment preparation under supervision of the AP Manager
Expense Notes / Payroll Support
Review and process employee expense reports in line with company policy
General Accounting & Audit Support
Ensure supplier balances are up to date and justified for annual audits
Prepare basic journal entries as needed
Support the finance team with ad-hoc analyses and data reviews
Process Improvement & Projects
Contribute to the improvement of AP processes
Support automation projects (OCR, digital invoice management, ERP enhancements)
Job requirements
Your profile
Recently graduated or up to 1 year of experience in an accounting/finance role
Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (BTS, DUT, DCG…)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
Comfortable working with numbers, analytical mindset
Some experience with Excel (including formatting, pivot tables, and basic summaries)
French and English: professional working proficiency (spoken and written)
Rigorous, reliable, and detail-oriented
Able to handle confidential information with integrity
Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn
Team spirit with good communication skills
Organized and capable of meeting deadlines
